HAPPY FRIDAY!!! My calendar has been maxed out the past few weeks…
Lots of running, spinning, yoga-ing, roasting and smoking delicious food, volunteering, picking out a Christmas tree (and more importantly, a wreath for our front door), attending tacky sweater parties, celebrating birthdays, sipping cocktails while overlooking the city at night, visiting the ballet to see the Nutcracker, finally opening that really pricy bottle of wine, entertaining, some more running, more spinning, more yoga-ing. Wednesday night was our Supper Club Christmas party and this weekend is John’s work Christmas party, a half marathon, and Christmas brunch with my running group. I am about spent. Not to mention, I do have a fulltime job.
Christmas parties, birthdays and big wins!
Group shot — please disregard the newlyweds making out.
We missed you John G, I wish OHSU would give him back to me!
Anyways, I think you get the idea… I can’t seem to make it stop! While I am overwhelmed, I am also grateful to have such a full plate.
My dad, brother and extended family fly into Portland one week from today and I am beside myself; a kid at Christmas all over again. It’s been a year since we have all been together and to be honest, it feels like it. I have never gone this long without seeing them. There will be endless amounts of skiing, wine tasting, good-food devouring, and late nights of can’t-catch-your-breath laughs for five straight days. Hurry up Christmas, don’t be late!
